The main street of Shelburne Falls, a short walk from the house, offers all the amenities for shopping and leisure including a good coffee house, a farmer's
market, and an old-time soda fountain--all topped off by the great beauty of the Deerfield River spanned by the remarkable
Bridge of Flowers. The village is central for visiting the many area museums, art galleries, theaters, and historical
sites as well as for endulging in and array of outdoor activities from nature walks and bicycling to river rafting.

MA 01370 is 10-15 minutes from Greenfield Community College; 20+ minutes to the Art Insitute in Ashfield; 20 minutes to the
School of Landscape Design in Conway; 25 minutes to Turners Falls; 40-50+ minutes to Amherst and Northampton; 45 minutes to
Brattleboro, VT; 2.5 hours to Boston; 3.5 hours to NYC; 1 hour to Bradley Airport. There is very limited bus service
in the area, so a car is a necessity for students needing to attend one of the many area schools. Otherwise, all the
basic necessities of life are available by foot into the village.
