I accept a limited number of commissions from authors
and small presses for the design and layout of limited-run chapbooks or paperback trade titles. My services include
revewing and critiquing book proposals, designing an interior layout and cover, converting a manuscript into a print-ready
format for the printer of choice, and supplying an ISBN and bar code. I work with local experts for editing, proofing, advanced
graphic design services, and offer guidance on promotional and marketing issues. My fees vary according to the project, but as a rule of thumb
they average $35-$60 per hour depending on the specific tasks commissioned. I offer a free consultation for the purpose
of determining the scope, and thus the costs, of the project. Recent design commissions can be found under Trade Books (paperbacks) or Chapbooks (sewn books)
